Prestonpans Mural Trail

Prestonpans

A short (4 mile) walking tour of Prestonpans, Scotland’s Mural Town

Date : Saturday August 24th

Time : 10 am

Meet : Prestonpans railway station

With : Meet Up and Walk

Walk with Sylvia Peaston and Catherine McCallum from the Meet Up and Walk group as they take you on a tour of the Prestonpans murals.

The 30 or so murals depict the varied history of Prestonpans – its culture, industrial heritage, its links with the Jacobites, and its relationship with the natural environment.

The walk will be at an easy pace and allow plenty of time to explore, take photos and enjoy the views.

Starting at Prestonpans railway station, you will finish your walk with the opportunity of a well deserved cuppa at Prestongrange Museum.

You will be walking almost exclusively on pavements so please make sure you wear appropriate shoes. Bring a waterproof in case of rain and water too if you wish.

Booking

Places are free, but please book in advance through our ticketing website.
