Mini Expedition Challenge

Dirleton

A walk designed for young people to explore basic expedition skills, take on a few challenges and have fun along the way!

With : Venturing Out

This walk is a ‘Mini-Expedition’ and will use the beautiful coastal area near Dirleton to explore navigation, outdoor cooking, expedition planning, basic first aid and the Scottish Outdoor Access Code.

Following a coastal loop of 8 to 10 km, over paths, tracks and sand, this is not a difficult walk, but expect lots of fun and challenges along the way.

This walk is aimed at children and young people aged 8 to 16.

You are advised to wear walking boots, sturdy shoes, or trainers with a good grip. Please bring a waterproof jacket (and trousers with you if you can), it is Scotland after all!

You might also wish to bring suncream, snacks and water/drinks.
