A grand circular walk of 13.5 km / 8.5 miles with a sense of open space
This is a grand circular hill walk giving a real feeling of open space, with extensive views to the Firth of Forth on a fine day and a picturesque descent past Hopes Reservoir.
The route starts at Blinkbonny Wood and takes in Brown Rig, Lammer Law, Rogers Cleugh, Hopes Water, Hopes Reservoir, Crow Cairn, Sting Bank, White Knowe and Brown Rig before returning to Blinkbonny.
13.5 km / 8.5 miles, 500 metres ascent over two ascents.
Good hill tracks. Could be boggy approaching Lammer Law.
What to bring
Plenty of fluids, a snack, and a packed lunch. Warm clothing and waterproofs.
Meeting point and travel
A bus will leave from Haddington Corn Exchange at 9 am.
A pick-up point could be arranged in Gifford.
