Binning Wood to Tyningham
A gentle forest and beach walk taking in the stunning coastal scenery
Date : Sunday August 25th
Time : 9.30 am
Meet : Binning Wood south car park
With : East Lothian Ramblers
The walk will be at a gentle pace including plenty of rest stops at scenic locations for drinks and lunch. We will expect to complete the walk in 5-6 hours.
The walk follows a route from Binning Wood to Lochhouses and onto the beach at Ravensheugh Sands, then along the beach to St Baldred’s Cradle and around Sandy Hirst to Mosshouse Point.
From there our route takes us along the river to Tyninghame village.
Bring a drink, snack and a packed lunch.
Remember we are in Scotland so bring a waterproof jacket and trousers and an extra layer of clothing to out on when we take a break.
If you have binoculars, bring them along too as there is plenty of wildlife along the route.
