Butterdean Woods / Musselburgh
All-ability woodland walk with transport provided to and from Musselburgh East Community Centre if required
Date : Friday August 30th
Time : 10.30 am coach pick up from Musselburgh East Community Centre, or 11 am start at Butterdean Woods
With : Team Nature, Woodland Trust and TCV
A short circular walk along hard, flat surfaced paths.
Join Team Nature, The Conservation Volunteers and The Woodland Trust as they take you on a guided tour of the beautiful Butterdean Woods.
Hear about the history of the woods, what trees it is home to and what plans there are for its future. Explore the natural world around you and the not so natural world of David Freedman’s giant insect sculptures.
The walk should be 1 to 1 ½ hours.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
Please wear appropriate footwear and bring a waterproof – it is Scotland after all!
Parking facilities are available at Butterdean but, thanks to the generous support of Scottish Forestry and Community Windpower, we are able to provide return coach transport from Musselburgh East Community Centre. We are also delighted to offer participants refreshments in the Centre cafe on return.
Start: 10.30am coach pick up from Musselburgh East Community Centre, 11am start at Butterdean Woods.
