Pencaitland to Glenkinchie circular

This walk goes from Pencaitland, through woods to the Pencaitland Railway Line, and on to visit the Glenkinchie Distillery in time for coffee. We return through the Saltoun Estate and Pebble Island.

We get a very good impression of the space offered in East Lothian – it’s a delightful, varied walk!

There are some steep sections; could be muddy; and some sections with tree roots underfoot. There is also about a mile of road walking.

What to bring

Bring a packed lunch, waterproofs, sturdy footwear. Walking poles recommended.
