The walk will be along good forest tracks, sandy beach and a short section along a minor road.

More information

The distance will be 12 miles. We will walk from East Linton Station via Smeaton Farm, Binningwood, to St Baldred’s Cradle along the coast. Then return along the beach to East Linton Station via Garleton Walk, Binningwood, Old Mansion House, and Drylaw Hill.

Please make sure you can comfortably walk 12 miles. There are no hills to climb so there will be little ascent.

Well-behaved and on the lead dogs are welcome.

Persons need to be able to walk 12 miles. The walk is therefore not suitable for children.

There is public toilet at the start of the walk opposite the station across the park.

There are a few cafes in East Linton.
