With:  Long Distance Walkers Association

This is a Long Distance Walkers Association taster walk for those who may like something a little more challenging.

The walk heads out to Pencraig and then goes west on very pleasant paths and lanes before heading south to pick up the River Tyne path, which it follows past the ruined Hailes Castle (once a home of Mary Queen of Scots).

It then diverts for an easy ascent of magnificent Traprain Law – one of the finest hills in East Lothian. Traprain Law is home to a group of Exmoor ponies, brought to the site in 2011 for their conservation benefits.

The walk then goes back to the River Tyne path to return to East Linton.

The walk include a short section on a quiet road.
