Gentle walk of about 5 km / 3 miles with a walk-and-talk discussion of how six walking trails can become a Covid-19 memorial for East Lothian
Calling all walkers! Over the summer of 2023 we are mapping six community walking trails around East Lothian and we’re looking for your help and recommendations.

Remembering Together is a national project by Greenspace Scotland and the Scottish Government in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Co-creation is at the heart of this project, which aims to make a space in the community for reflection, remembrance, hope and healing.

Our proposal for East Lothian is to map a series of walking trails across the region that will reflect the daily walking practice that many people adopted during lockdown, when we were restricted to walking for up to one hour and within a 5 mile radius of home.

Our aim is to create a public expression of a community voice – a valuable resource that will be accessible to future generations.
