All-ability woodland walk of 2 km / 1.3 miles
Team Nature, The Woodland Trust and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) will lead an all-ability guided walk in Butterdean Woods.
Paths are flat and accessible, and assistance dogs are welcome.
The woods are diverse and support a host of wildlife. Daniel from the Woodland Trust will tell us all about the history and ongoing upkeep of the woods and Alex from TCV will conduct a Citizen Science session, including tree identification.
The walk is around 2 km. The tour will be approximately an hour and a half but it may take longer if there is lots of chat and the weather is kind.
The wood has lovely picnic areas which people are welcome to make use of after the walk.
Meeting point and travel
Meet at the car park entrance to Butterdean Woods.
If using public transport, it is a five-minute walk from the Gladsmuir Farmhouse bus stop (Prentice service 108, East Coast service 106 or X6).
