Ageing Well Health Walks
Aberlady, Athelstaneford, Dirleton, Dunbar (twice), Haddington (twice), Musselburgh, North Berwick, Pencaitland, Prestonpans, Tranent
A gentle walk with a small, friendly group, exploring the local area. There are walks in lots of different places during our festival, so take a look at the list below to find one near you!
Come and join an East Lothian Ageing Well Health Walk! We have a programme of regular walks in various places across East Lothian every week, so you have a choice of joining a walk close to home, perhaps taking the opportunity to explore somewhere new.
Each walk explores a different part of the county, but our walks all have some things in common:
– a small, welcoming group
– walk at an appropriate pace
– use good paths and pavements
– walk for between 40 minutes and an hour
For more information on a particular walk, or our Health Walks in general, or to reserve your place, please contact Parvine by email, PWoodger@eastlothian.gov.uk

More information
Health Walks are free to join. We think that the social aspect of walking with one of our groups is just as important as the physical exercise so we try to make sure we end in a place where we can purchase a cuppa.
Walks are a medium pace on flat terrain. Inclines are usually avoided.
Dogs are not allowed.
Anyone is welcome.
Toilets will be available at the start and finish.
Some walkers go for tea or coffee after the walk.
What to bring
Please dress for the Scottish Weather and wear comfortable shoes. You might want to bring a water bottle too.
