Twin Peaks challenge

Traprain Law to North Berwick Law

A walk that has it all!

Date : Sunday September 1st

Time : 9 am

Meet : North Berwick Law car park for coach to Traprain Law

With : Venturing Out

Covering a variety of terrain, ponies, a little bit of local history and offering arguably the best views in the county, the walk will take you from Traprain to Berwick Law.

It starts with a short but steep climb up Traprain Law, where the county opens up in front of you. Berwick Law, your final destination, is prominent to the north.

The descent takes you down to the Tyne river, past Hailes Castle and on towards East Linton. There you will pick up one of Scotland’s national trails, the John Muir Way, which brings you back to North Berwick.

Your final challenge, if you still have the energy for it, is the steep climb up to the top of Berwick Law for a well deserved rest and the chance to take some amazing photographs!

The walk  is 23 km / 14 miles with climbs. Please note there is a short section on the road.

Physicality: A reasonable level of physical fitness is required for this walk.
