Fisherrow to Newhailes family walk

A gentle early evening stroll along the shore to the grounds of the grand historic house at Newhailes

Date: Saturday August 30th 2025

Time: 5.30 pm to 7 pm

Meet: Fisherrow Harbour

With: Meet Up And Walk

Gentle paced 3.5 mile walk. The walk initially is along a sandy beach (though for any buggies there is an established tarmac path as an alternative for the length of the beach).

There follows well trodden paths through and alongside woodland in Newhailes House grounds which can be uneven at times, as well as established tarmac paths. There are slight inclines at times along the walk and one set of steps or a steepish slope as an alternative.

What to bring

Wear outdoor shoes suitable for beach, paths and woodland walking.

Good transport links to /from Musselburgh town centre and Fisherrow is a 10-minute walk from Musselburgh High Street.
