Date : Saturday August 24th

Time : 10.45 am

Meet : Preston Kirk, East Linton

With : Forth to Farne Way

FOLLOW in the footsteps of medieval pilgrims on this short section of the Forth to Farne Way, a coastal pilgrim route opened in 2017 from North Berwick to Holy Island that covers 72 miles in total.

This is a gentle walk that cuts through some of the prettiest parts of the East Lothian countryside and for much of its length follows the John Muir Way.

The walk will commence about 10.45 am and will finish at Lauderdale Park in Dunbar about 3 pm.

Wear suitable footwear, and bring a waterproof, and something to eat and drink.

Meeting point and transport

We will start from The Stables, behind Preston Kirk, Preston Road, East Linton.  There is plenty of parking here and also toilet facilities.

We are asking all our participants to consider using public transport where possible.

To get there by public transport, take the X7 bus from Haddington at 10.23 am, or the X7 bus from Dunbar at 9.53 am. Either bus will drop you in Bridge Street, East Linton and you will need to walk through the village to get to the Stables.

Alternatively there is the 120 bus from North Berwick or Dunbar.

Forth to Farne Way

This walk highlights the Forth to Farne Way, a long-distance footpath and pligrimage route from North Berwick to Lindisfarne.
